I have had the privilege of holding positions with the following organizations
Human Equations, Inc.
Title: VP/Chief Operating Officer
In 1980 I was invited to join Human Equations; Inc. (HEQ), in a junior consulting role by CEO Malcom (Mac) Bernstein. It was a small firm with high end clients.
I soon became Director of Assessment and Management Consultant. In January 1985, I left HEQ to join Merry-Go-Round-Enterprises (MGRE).
Because MGRE was a major client of Human Equations, I never lost contact with Mac throughout the MGRE years. After MGRE's shut down, I kicked-off my own management-consulting practice and was approached by Mac to re-join the firm, where I stayed and helped run the firm until the practice's closing due to Mr. Bernstein's failing health.
MGRE (Merry-Go-Round-Enterprises)
Title: Director of Organizational Development & Training
Late in 1984, I was hired by MGRE, which was a major client of Human Equations, Inc. At that time MGRE/Merry-Go-Round-Enterprises consisted of approx. 300 stores.
From 1985 to 1996, I remained an internal consultant and enjoyed the growth-years whereby we topped-off in operating approx. 1200 stores. I also experienced the Company's downslide (and downsize), staying there until the end (Feb 1996). Given the relationships I formed from that experience, having a chance to do it all over, I'd be one of the first in line!
CCBC/Community College of Baltimore County
Title: Consultant for Training and Development
At CCBC I have had two separate roles. As a consultant, I assisted the community college in developing a marketing strategy for its continuing education division. As an instructor, I have taught psych-courses on a contractual basis.
Alexander and Tom, Inc.
Title: Director of Interactive Learning
I enjoyed being associated with Billy Twigg, Alex &Tom's CEO; across the span of several years and several projects. It was here I worked with the likes of the USDA, Bell South.net and The Nature Conservancy, among other client companies.
LodeStar Network, Inc.
Title: Director of Organizational Development
My association with LodeStar Network was a creative challenge, in that it was a "start-up", which means that EVERYTHING had to be developed from scratch.
At MGRE/Merry-Go-Round we developed many programs under the unwritten rule of: "Never develop anything for us by using another company's model as a reference!" So, everything I was involved in developing, always started with a blank-slate and great people to share ideas with! As LodeStar was forming, they needed someone to fit that creative mindset.
Advanced Medical Management (AMM, Inc.)
Title: Consultant for Organizational Development/Training
From 2001 to 2011, I functioned as an internal consultant for AMM, Inc.
Here I was involved in a cross-section of projects in professional & management education, employee development, advertising, marketing and many other types of program development.
