Logo Design

LodeStar is a start-up network marketing company. Their first need is to have a corporate logo designed. The look & feel will then be incorporated into other company material.

Logo Design for a "sister" company

A secong logo is needed immediately for  LodeStar's "sister company", LSI; which is a health-product supplier to LodeStar's marketing reps.

The client wants the LSI logo to have a similar look-and-feel to LodeStar's, but with a futuristic (space-age-like) underpinning. This is accomplished by having a "swipe" similar to LodeStar's and having it "shooting to a star".

A Design "for fun!"

This client is also in a "start-up" mode - in the vending-machine snack business. She is trying to determine how to present the mix of snack choices as far as health-foods versus the popular-demand items.

In the end, she realizes that her logo and motto-statement needs to be able to relate to any and all snack choices, always aiming at pleasing the customer! Thus, the playful use of the font and the slogan "Always a Smile" covers the gamut of cusomer choices and preferences. [Concept: Mary Susa; Design: Patrick Brady, Projects4Development]

A design showing "Dedication to an Area Served"

This Baltimore based client is expanding their medical network of offices to the Washington DC area and wants the new logo to reflect its dedication towards treating patients in the proximity of Washington's beltway system. The "MD" in the logo represents "Maryland", "DC" signifies "District of Columbia", and the loop circling the letters represents the beltway surrounding that area. Design demonstrating "Uniqueness of Service"

In this instance, the client needs a logo that will reflect: a) the medical service it provides, and b) the special features of that service.

"Open MRImages" is an "open MRI procedure" versus a closed and confining one. Many paitents find that typical "closed-in" MRI's bring on claustrophobic symptoms, even to those who normally don't suffer from uncomfortable "closed-in" feelings.

The Corporate IT Officer has a unique concept in mind, so it becomes my job to create a design that visually translates his idea. (Concept: Michael Irway, Chief Technology Officer, Advanced Medical Management; Design: Patrick Brady, Projects4Development)

Designing a comp for upcoming educational venue

Not always, but sometimes a client needs a design to "kick-off" a project. As in this case, I was approached by a local producer and asked to submit several designs that would show the title of the program and subtly demonstrate the feeling of "being enlightened or awakened". (Thus the hint of "rising sun" yellow.

I submitted 3 versions, two of which I really liked and a 3rd that was "just so-so" in my mind, but a friend suggested I include it for "variety purposes". You guessed it! This 3rd one made the cut!

Design encompassing content

A retail client is developing a program called "ROC", which is going to be a major energizer for store managers and their sales crews for the "Back-to-School" season.

"R-O-C" was an original idea stemming from the ingeneous creative mind of a mentor and close friend, the late Joe Vander Pluym.

Since the Company has a strong rock-and-roll theme running its' veins, "ROC" is bound to catch on like wildfire.

My task is to come-up with creative "blurbs" throughout the late summer and fall, that will be embedded into the "ROC" logo, and be informative as far as upcoming promotions, etc. We also develop a "contractual agreement" to be signed by every manager in the field, stating their dedication to develop "Results-Oriented-Crews". [The campain is a great success!]
